Proposed Development

The site is on land at Coppy Farm, Cilcain Road, Gwernaffield, CH7 5DQ:

Bromfield Group Ltd has applied for ‘the erection of 80 dwellings, convenience store and associated development’.

The proposed development  comprises:

3 x 2-bed  terraced /semi-detached, two storey houses, with parking

9 x 3-bed terraced/semi- detached, three storey houses, with parking

47 x 4-bed detached, two storey houses, with garage and parking

16 x 4-bed detached, two and a half storey houses, with garage and parking

5 x 5-bed, detached, two and a half storey houses, with garage and parking

That is 80 houses with 310 bedrooms

and parking and garage spaces for over 240 cars.

Dwellings in Gwernaffield would grow from 358 to 438 =  up 22%  – with the potential for a further 90+ houses accessible via the land marked in blue on the plan = up by almost 50%

The population of Gwernaffield could grow from just over 800 to 1200 = up 50%  – with the potential for a further  400+ meaning that it could DOUBLE

So too would the consequential traffic, pollution, noise and the pressure on amenities like water, sewerage, drainage, electricity, broadband and the village Primary School, local GP Surgeries and Hospitals.
